BasicLab Dermocosmetics Correcting Serum with Retinal 0.07% Phytosphingosine and Carnosine 2.0 Reduction and Stimulation for Problematic Skin 30ml
- The serum is intended for evening care of the skin, neck and cleavage, and has effective anti-wrinkle and anti-acne properties. The cosmetic thickens the skin, visibly rejuvenating it.
The product formula uses a vitamin A derivative and has antibacterial properties that help reduce imperfections. Phytosphingosine, a natural ingredient derived from ceramides, reduces redness and prevents inflammation, mitigating the potential side effects of the serum.
Carnosine 2.0 firms the skin and makes it more elastic, while reducing broadly understood discomfort. The addition of 3-O-ethyl ascorbic acid brightens the complexion, giving it a healthy color.
- Stable retinal is the last compound in the conversion to retinoic acid (which cannot be used in cosmetic products). It has antibacterial properties, so it will be helpful in the care of acne-prone skin, and due to its low irritation potential, it can be safely used in the care of skin affected by rosacea. The ingredient effectively fights discoloration, has anti-aging properties, reduces wrinkles, and improves skin elasticity and firmness.
- Vitamin C in the form of 3-O-ethyl ascorbic acid soothes micro-inflammation and reduces redness, thus minimizing the side effects of the treatment, while brightening the complexion and positively affecting its overall appearance
- Vitamin E (INCI: Tocopherol) with coenzyme Q10 (INCI: Ubiquinone), a duo of strong antioxidants, fight free radicals, soothe the skin and slow down the aging process
- Ceramides NP and AP, as the so-called intercellular cement, support skin renewal, accelerating its regeneration processes
- Carnosine 2.0 is resistant to degradation, therefore it is much more effective than L-carnosine. The ingredient restores the skin's proper tension, prevents the effects of photoaging, lightens brown discolorations (PIH - Post-Inflammatory Hyperpigmentation), but also generally improves the skin tone.
- Free sphingoid amine, phytosphingosine, a natural anti-inflammatory agent found in the skin, improves the appearance of acne-affected skin, reduces redness and irritation
- Phospholipids, which are carriers of retinal, stabilize it and reduce the risk of irritation
How to use:
Apply a small amount of serum in the evening to cleansed and dry skin, avoiding the eye and lip area. After applying the product, we recommend washing your hands thoroughly. The first time, use the serum on your own to assess your skin's reaction. Ultimately, approximately 30-40 minutes after applying retinal, you can apply the cream.
Attention:
- Due to the high content of retinol, the product should not be used by pregnant women. Use during breastfeeding should be consulted with your doctor.
- When using retinoids, apply very high sun protection every day, e.g. a light protective emulsion SPF50+, and avoid exposure to the sun. The use of retinal is permissible all year round, but before planned increased exposure to the sun, stop using it completely about 4 weeks in advance.
- In the first weeks of use, you may notice redness, dryness or irritation of the skin, as well as its peeling - this is the result of building the skin's tolerance to this active substance. In such a case, you should use complementary products that moisturize, nourish and rebuild the hydrolipid barrier.
- During retinal treatment, the skin requires increased hydration and regeneration.
Start the treatment with a lower concentration - 0.07% retinal. For the first two weeks, use the serum every fourth evening. If there are no side effects during this period, you can reduce the interval between applications by 1 day after each completed two weeks of treatment as follows:
Week 0-2 – use every 4th evening
Week 3-4 – use every 3rd evening
4-6 weeks – use every 2nd evening
You will reach the point where you will be using retinal serum 4 times a week. Only when you tolerate the product well at this frequency of use (not earlier!) can you start using the next concentration, in this case 0.15%. To do this, take a 3-day break and repeat the above regimen using the Correcting Serum with 0.15% Retinal.
