Aura Herbals – supplements with simple formulas

Aura Herbals is a company from Sopot. It started in 2005 with food that it describes as healthy and organic, and over time moved on to dietary supplements. Today it has its own production plant and takes care of every step itself: the formula, production, labelling and packaging. It makes vitamins and minerals, omega-3 fatty acids, collagens, functional mushrooms and plant extracts, as capsules, powders and drops. Brand range

• Vitamin D3 drops. There are different strengths to choose from, e.g. D3 Forte 2000 IU drops, 30 ml or D3 Forte 4000 IU in MCT oil, 50 ml. For children the manufacturer makes separate drops: D3 Junior 800 IU and D3 Baby 400 IU.
• D3 with K2, and K2 on its own. If you want both vitamins in one bottle, choose D3 + K2 MK-7 Forte or D3 4000 IU + K2 MK-7 in MCT oil. You can also buy vitamin K2 MK-7 separately, as 90 µg drops.
• ADEK, four vitamins in one set of drops. A, D3, E and K2 together. There are two versions: ADEK drops, 30 ml and the larger Family ADEK in MCT oil, 50 ml.
• Vitamins A, E and B. Browse A + E drops, vitamin E 12 mg and the mint-flavoured B Complex drops with eight B vitamins.
• Omega-3. The manufacturer makes capsules, OMegaKrill krill oil and liquid omega-3 from Atlantic mackerel, anchovy and sardine oil. With us you can buy liquid omega-3 fish oil, 200 ml, which means omega-3 without capsules.
• Mycodrop: mushroom coffee and cocoa. Mycodrop is a line of functional mushrooms, as the manufacturer calls them. Mushroom Coffee 7 in 1 and Mushroom Cocoa 7 in 1 each contain seven extracts: reishi, chaga, shiitake, maitake, lion's mane, cordyceps and tremella. The coffee also contains niacin (vitamin B3). In this line the manufacturer also has single-mushroom capsules, e.g. Lion's Mane, Reishi, Cordyceps and Shiitake.
• Colladrop collagens. Collagen in capsules, liquid, powder and sachets. There is also a version for people on a plant-based diet, Colladrop Vegan.
• Minerals and plant extracts. Zinc, iodine, magnesium, potassium, selenium and iron, alongside e.g. ashwagandha, turmeric, berberine, coenzyme Q10, creatine, colostrum, electrolytes and probiotics.

How to choose

Start with what you are looking for. Want vitamin D on its own? Choose D3 drops and pick the strength to match the serving on the pack or your doctor's advice. Prefer D3 and K2 together so you don't have to buy two bottles? Go for D3 + K2 drops. If several people at home take vitamins, Family ADEK comes in a bigger bottle. Don't like swallowing capsules? Drops and liquid omega-3 oil are a handy option. And if you drink coffee or cocoa every day anyway, take a look at Mycodrop. Mycodrop coffee is instant coffee, so if you avoid coffee, choose the cocoa. A food supplement is not a substitute for a varied diet. If you are pregnant, breastfeeding, have a medical condition or take medication, talk to your doctor before choosing.

Quality and ingredients

According to the manufacturer, Aura Herbals follows the clean label principle: the formula should contain only the necessary ingredients, with no fillers or artificial colours. The manufacturer says it tests its products in an independent laboratory, including for microbiological contamination, heavy metals and active ingredient content. Its formulas also use branded raw materials, e.g. KSM-66 Ashwagandha® and Aquamin®. According to the manufacturer, Mycodrop coffee and cocoa are vegan and sugar-free, sweetened with stevia. Pour hot but not boiling water over Mycodrop coffee, and dissolve the cocoa in warm water or a plant-based drink.

What is Aura Herbals? It is a Polish dietary supplement brand with its own production plant. It makes, among other things, vitamin drops, omega-3, collagens, and mushroom coffee and cocoa. The manufacturer focuses on simple formulas, with no fillers or artificial colours.

Which mushrooms are in Mycodrop coffee and cocoa? Both contain the same set of seven extracts: reishi, chaga, shiitake, maitake, lion's mane, cordyceps and tremella. The coffee is instant coffee with added niacin, and the cocoa contains no coffee. The amount of each extract per serving is given on the packaging.

What does the niacin in Mycodrop coffee do? According to the manufacturer, one serving of the coffee provides 200% of the reference intake of niacin. Niacin contributes to the reduction of tiredness and fatigue, to normal energy-yielding metabolism and to the normal functioning of the nervous system.

Can everyone drink Mycodrop coffee and cocoa? No. The manufacturer does not recommend them for children or for pregnant or breastfeeding women. Both contain a sweetener from stevia. If you are allergic to any of the ingredients, don't use them, and check the ingredients on the packaging.

Which vitamin D3 should I choose? It depends on the serving you want to take. The drops differ in strength, e.g. 2000 IU or 4000 IU, and in whether they include vitamin K2. For children the manufacturer has separate D3 Junior and D3 Baby drops. If you are not sure which serving is right for you, ask your doctor.

What do vitamins D and K do? Vitamin D contributes to the normal function of the immune system, to the maintenance of normal bones and to the maintenance of normal muscle function. Vitamin K contributes to normal blood clotting and to the maintenance of normal bones.

What are ADEK drops? They are four vitamins in one set of drops: A, D3, E and K2. Aura Herbals has a 30 ml version and the larger Family ADEK, 50 ml, in MCT oil.

What is the liquid omega-3 oil made from? The manufacturer says the omega-3 fatty acids come from Atlantic mackerel, anchovy and sardine oil. It is a liquid, so it is a good option if you don't like capsules.

Are Aura Herbals supplements vegan? Some are. According to the manufacturer, Mycodrop coffee and cocoa are vegan, and among the collagens there is Colladrop Vegan. The omega-3 oil is made from fish, so it is not vegan. For other products, check the ingredients on the packaging.
