- The product is indicated, among others, for use in the area of reproductive organs, e.g. in inflammation of the vagina, as well as in inflammation of the glans penis of men.
Iladiamed contains the active substances: octenidine dihydrochloride and phenoxyethanol. Octenidine dihydrochloride acts on the skin surface. Phenoxyethanol complements the range of action of octenidine dihydrochloride, penetrating into the deeper layers of the skin and mucous membranes.
The iladiamed product has a disinfecting and anesthetic effect. It has a bactericidal, fungicidal and virucidal effect.
Iladiamed is indicated for use:
- in the genital area, e.g. in inflammation of the vagina, as well as in inflammation of the glans penis of a man;
- repeated, short-term antiseptic treatment of the mucous membranes and adjacent tissues before and after diagnostic procedures in the genital area and anus, including the vagina, vulva and glans penis, as well as before catheterization of the urinary bladder.

The medicine should be applied to the treated area at least once a day, taking care to evenly cover the entire treated surface.
Caution!
To avoid tissue damage and local swelling, iladiamed must not be administered using a syringe for deep tissues. The medicine is intended for external use on the skin and mucous membranes only.
- Excess medicine should be removed and ensure that the gel does not remain on the skin longer than necessary (this also applies to materials soaked in the solution that are in direct contact with the patient).
- Do not apply the medicine to the eye. In the event of contact with the eyes, rinse them immediately with plenty of water.
- The use of iladiamed after episiotomy (perineal incision) should be consulted with a gynecologist.
